Gulfshore Life – Realty Check: What Your Money Will Buy for $7.6 million. │ May 1, 2015
When it came to the waterside home at 274 little Harbour Lane, Royal Shell Real Estate agent Gary L. Jaarda says the couple who purchased it were immediately smitten. “They came to the open house, saw it, fell in love with it and bought it on the spot,” he says. Jaarda sold the estate to the couple for the original asking price of $7.6 million just one month after it had hit the market in November. Built in 1997, the house rests on a lot and a half and exceeds the size of most other 5,000-square-foot homes in the Naples neighborhood at 7,099 square feet. According to Jaarda, the five-bed, seven-and-a-half-bath home first belonged to a man who owned one of the largest construction companies in the nation, so design elements like gardens with koi ponds, circular pool features and customized stone are details to be admired. “The quality of the home’s construction is second to none,” Jaarda says, beaming about its solid cherry woodwork, including a library room decked floor-to-ceiling in the rich-hued lumber. The new owners are expected to make a few structural changes to suit their tastes, but “they recognize the quality of the construction and uniqueness,” Jaarda says.
